Satellite Field Technician

We are currently seeking Field Technicians to service our customers in the Orlando area.

Description:

As a DRS Field Technician you will be trained in the installation and servicing of the DISH Satellite TV System. Our technicians are the best in the industry and as such consistently strive to perform quality work and achieve 100% customer satisfaction!

All technicians are provided extensive training that includes both field work and classroom training. Training has four primary components; safety, technical, customer service, and policies & procedures. Upon completion of your training you will be a Field Services Specialist (FSS) I and you will travel to our corporate office in Tampa for some final training, be assigned a vehicle, and issued your tools.

At DRS we provide all our techs with the necessary tools and equipment needed. We provide a fully stocked late model logoed van, handheld Android tablet device, cell phone, and applicable tools necessary to perform quality work. Company uniforms and proper safety boots are required and DRS provides discount programs for both.

As a Technician you will be issued daily routes that will consist of a variety of jobs (new installs, trouble calls, upgraders and movers). You will be compensated on an hourly basis including time-and-half for overtime. We also offer opportunities to earn performance bonuses. Bonuses are based on customer satisfaction, quality and productivity.

REQUIREMENTS;

•As part of our candidate evaluation process, Field Technician candidates who are selected for hire must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug test, and physical examination. The physical examination assessment is designed solely to determine your physical ability to perform the essential duties of the Field Technician position.

•We also require a valid Florida Driver’s License. (No more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)

EXPECTATIONS;

•The tech position can be physically challenging as you will be climbing and working from ladders, in some case in excess of 30 feet. You will be entering attics and will be exposed to variety of weather elements including; heat, cold, wind, and rain.
•You must be able to safely lift and carry up to 75lbs.
•the job requires you can safely use small hand tools.
•Required to trench/dig, sometimes up 100 feet in order to lay cable.
•You will interact with consumers daily and should be comfortable and able to effectively communicate/train customers on the DISH system.
•You must be able to safely operate a cargo van.
•We operate seven days a week and techs are required to work weekends and holidays.
•Overtime is a daily event as your ending time will vary from day-to-day depending on your assigned jobs and business needs.
