Reports To: Area Business Manager (ABM)

Status: Exempt, Full Time

The Field Service Manager (FSM) is crucial to the success of DRS, they are the front line manager for our largest employee base.  We are looking for high energy and high integrity individuals that are eager to learn and grow in their management skills/abilities. Our FSMs are front line managers tasked with motivating and driving the technician force, and the organization, to success.

The FSM will oversee a small team of 10-15 Technicians, and will be responsible for ensuring that Technicians are performing their duties in support of DISH customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct oversight of 10-15 Field Technicians.
  • Assures compliance with applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Coach, mentor and counsel field Technicians on a variety of topics, such as work performance standards, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct one-on-one and team meetings to share best practices, safety tips, and other relevant information to ensure maximum team and individual performance.
  • Communicate and work with branch team members to assure the team and branch meet required performance levels for: productivity, consultative sales, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and other performance expectations.
  • Ensures quality of technicians’ work through a variety of quality control activities.
  • Conducts damage assessments, inventory control, safety huddles, and escalated customer issues.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred (BS/BA)
  • Prior experience managing and motivating small teams in a retail, industrial, warehouse, or similar work environment.
  • Experience in hiring, training, disciplinary procedures, and motivating team members.
  • Must be able to work in all outdoor elements
  • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs and meet physical demands of the Technician job
  • Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to travel locally to support Field Technician efforts.
  • Must be able to work weekends
