ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Our primary work consists of excavation, underground utilities, sewer, water and reclaimed, storm drainage, road paving, striping and street signage for residential, commercial, and apartment communities.  

Project Superintendent is responsible for managing all field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.  The Project Superintendent directly supervises foreman, field labor forces and sub-contractors.  This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. 

  • Direct day-to-day on-site foreman, field labor forces, subcontractors and other construction related personnel.
  • Responsible for total construction effort to ensure construction is in accordance with design, quality, and schedule.
  • Provide technical assistance as required for interpretation of drawings, construction methods, and equipment as required.
  • Quality Control all operations of construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner, Engineer, Local Authorities, and Partners.
  • Develop and maintain a site logistics plan
  • Ensure silt fence inspections and corrections are in compliance with SWPPP plan.
  • Monitor labor time and material.
  • Communicate and enforce at all times safety and health management programs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring of others.
  • Notify safety team immediately of any incidents, accidents, or insubordination. 
  • Manage project schedules, including weekly preparation of short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports to document weather, field conditions, manpower, progress and conditions impacting the project.
  • Conduct daily sub-contractor meetings.
  • Attend and participate in client project meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

OSHA certification, Trench safety, Confined space, MOT, First aid / CPR Certification.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Computer knowledge and efficiency.
  • Broad understanding of industry.
  • Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of contracts and purchase orders.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
This position requires frequent walking, standing, and bending.  Must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all company safety requirements on the jobsite.
