Monitoring Representatives I (looking for 12 -14 ) Answers, responds to, and follows up regarding fire, burglary, panic, or medical alarm activity

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three+ months of related experience (customer service/call center)
  • Must be able to pass FBI background check
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 AWPM

SUMMARY: Answers, responds to, and follows up regarding alarm activity by performing some or all of the following duties: 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. To perform this job successfully, the Monitoring Representative I may be expected to perform some or all of the duties listed, and other duties as assigned. 

  1. Verifies, responds to, and dispatches on emergency signals. 
  2. Answers incoming calls. 
  3. Operator must be licensed to work in all States mandating requirements. 
  4. Must be proficient in the verification and dispatching of alarms to police/fire agencies 
  5. Must know the different types if signals and the SOP’s for each signal. 
  6. Operator will work under close supervision during the first 30 days. 
  7. Must keep abreast of the organization goals and positions held. 
  8. Must be able to meet minimum productivity standards set. 
  9. Must keep abreast of both company and central station policies. 
  10. Must meet minimum quality standards set for them. 
  11. Position requires weekend, holiday and shift work and may require mandatory overtime. 
  12. Notifies customers of non-emergency signals. 
  13. Notifies responders on emergency signals after dispatch. 
  14. Processes basic data changes to customer accounts. 
  15. Must be able to handle signals from one location/area and TTY stations. 
  16. Position requires weekend, holiday and shift work and may require mandatory overtime
