Job Title: Villa Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeping Managers
OVERVIEW/POSITION PURPOSE:
Ensure all aspects of the day-to-day villa cleanliness routines within the Housekeeping Department are met and/or exceed expectations, with direct responsibility for the cleaning of all villas with great attention to details in order to provide guests with a perfect storybook experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment in villas
- Help with stripping of villas as needed
- Meet all cleaning and safety standards while cleaning villas
- Use of the proper chemicals when cleaning
- Keep housekeeping carts organized and clean for proper working condition
- Changing of all linens for checkouts on a daily basis
- Vacuuming all carpeted areas in villas
- Report any villa needs and repairs that are needed to coordinators
- Complete all special projects or deep cleaning assigned on a given day
- Inspect vacuums for repairs or bag replacement
- High and low dusting of all villas
- Upkeep of exterior for villas
- Punch in and update villa status
- Driving carts safely throughout the Village
- Signing out for keys and carts daily
- Meet or surpass Village expectations of cleanliness for incoming guests
- Communicate when chemicals need to be ordered
- Able to work a flexible shift to meet department needs, includes days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
- Additional duties as assigned
- Adherence to attendance standard
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift/move objects up to 35 lbs
- Work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
- Work in outdoor weather conditions
- Able to bend and able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and transfer 35 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Able to perform all daily duties of position with limited supervision
- Ability to communicate any needs or ideas to help improve work environment
- Good decision-making skills for safety
- Basic math skills
- Be able to communicate clear and concise both written and verbally in English, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma
- Previous work experience as a Villa Attendant for a minimum of two years
