We specialize in tax, business services and advisory services for small businesses and their owners. We work with our clients to grow their business, pay less tax and provide for their families, team members and community.We have a great team and a family friendly culture. We are looking to add the right team member to further our expansion.Your mission:This position will give you the authority and responsibility to work directly with our clients and their team. You will be charged with managing client accounts and working with the client's team to provide the various assignments we have been engaged to deliver. We are also looking for opportunities to provide added services to our clients that promote our mission of helping them grow their business.Specific duties and responsibilities: Preparing client bookkeeping, payroll, payroll returns, sales tax returns and income tax returns. Helping the client with tax, accounting and business questions. Preparing tax projections and discussing them with the client. Identifying and delivering tax saving strategies. Identifying and delivering business growth strategies. Team peer review of completed work. Contributing to team meetings and firm initiatives. Required competences and experience: A CPA or EA background is preferred, but experience trumps education. At least 3 years of experience in providing accounting and bookkeeping for small businesses using Quickbooks, QBO, Sage(Peachtree), etc. You must have a commanding understanding of the general ledger, for the purpose of tax preparation. Full practical understanding of payroll and payroll tax preparation. Experience in preparing tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120s). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience working for an accounting firm that provides the above services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with a team and to deal directly with clients. Experience with Lacerte Tax and Office Tools Workspace are a plus. Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities. Ability to explain complex tax and accounting issues to our clients. Planned salary and other compensations: Depending on your qualifications and experience, we offer a starting yearly salary of $55,000 or more. PTO 10 days per year earned as you go. Health insurance. Simple IRA (eligible after 1 year of employment). Comprehensive bonus plan measured on firm and individual levels. Commissions for new clients brought in.
