Tax Preparation Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are a Jacksonville-based Tax Law Firm specializing in representing individuals and businesses with Federal and State tax problems. We are seeking an individual that has a minimum of one year tax preparation experience. Additional administrative skills are alsodesired for the perfect candidate. Job Description: You will play a critical organizational role that requires a strong attention to detail. You will be preparing tax returns for our clients along with other administrative functions. Please do not apply if you do not have tax preparation experience. Some of your daily activities will include: Preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals and businesses. Computing taxes owed by following Federal and State tax codes. Uncovering potential deductions and credits. Examining previously filed income tax returns to verify information and amend tax liabilities. Utilizing database to access wage transcripts. Reviewing financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenses. Contacting clients to assist with completion of tax forms, address discrepancies and to request supporting documentation. Maintaining records in Customer Relationship Management system. Qualifications: Must possess a high-level of attention to detail. Must possess excellent Microsoft Office skills with a focus on Microsoft Word document and template creation. Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and via email. Must be able to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment. Must be on-time and present when scheduled to work. A core skill for this position is the ability to multi-task and be unflappable. We are a positive, can-do organization, pessimists need not apply.
