Overnight Direct Support Professional - Part Time

Provide valuable support services for our young adults, ages 18 to 24, on our two home residential campus of Independent Living Homes in Winter Park near Tuskawilla Road & Dike Road. Residents have aged out of foster care and are learning skills to avoid becoming homeless.

This is a part time position on weekend nights from 10PM to 7AM is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of young adult clients while serving as an appropriate role model.  This is an awake position.

Essential duties may include:

• Facilitating peer interactions, recreation activities, transportation of clients, managing case plans and implementation of program rules.
• Provide supervision for young adults and actively participate in teaching and role modeling essential life skills
• Provide crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation in crisis situations
• Monitor facilities and conduct safety checks of both houses.
• Preparing rooms for new clients
• Operate company vehicle to transport clients to work, school, appointments or activities as needed.

Job Requirements

• High School Completion with two years related experience working with youth  OR
• Some college with one year relevant experience OR BA in Human Services field
• Able to Pass Second Level Criminal Background Screens & MVR Records Check
• Valid Florida Driver's License and proof of current auto insurance.
• Must be 21 years of age and insurable under IMPOWER's auto insurance.
