JMT is seeking a Contract Support Specialist to join the CEI/CM team in Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include assisting in project related duties as well as exercising independent judgment to make technical decisions on the office aspects of the project (i.e. MAC entry and review, tracking materials acceptance, progress and final estimates processing, EEO compliance, tracking the Contractor’s progress on work performed, preparing and processing Construction Contract changes such as Work Orders and Supplemental Agreements, coordination with CEI staff and Contractor regarding project issues, maintain site source records for project compliance, etc.) Assist in the development of RFP’s, LOR’s, ELOI’s or additional proposals as needed. Attend seminars and workshops to remain abreast of the latest industry developments. Other duties may be assigned as required to support the project team and corporate staff.

Required Skills

  • Should exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project.
  • Should be familiar with the Department’s Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and be proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform these duties (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as Multi-Line and Engineering Menu).
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II certification and knowledge of Department Standards and Specifications required.
  • Additional CTQP Qualifications, as well as FDOT Advanced MOT, not required but considered a plus.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Four (4) or more years of road & bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) experience having performed/assisted in project related duties (i.e. MAC, SiteManager, progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.) or a degree in Civil Engineering.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
