Our clientis seeking an Assistant Controller will work directly with Controller and CFO.

of theRole: Help develops both Staff andSenior Accountants by directing processes and improving skills through varyingassignments .
Work closely with the Controller to performanalysis on variances between budgeted / forecasted and actual results& analyze and explain quarterly account variances in comprehensivereporting package.
Oversee monthly closing of generalledger to ensure accuracy while instituting time saving measures to compressthe close schedule.
On a monthly basis, ensures allaccounts are reconciled and documentation is available for externalauditor's review / audit.
Must understand the nature ofthe company's accounts and be able to explain transactions flowingthrough accounts.
Performs ad hoc and special projects asassigned.
Education andExperience Required: Bachelors Degreein Accounting Degree.
5+ Years accounting experience indiversified accounting group with multiple locationoperations.
Strong communication skills.

Must be a strong supervisor that takes a handson approach to working with staff and accounting projects.

Often demanding that requires overtimeduring heavy accounting periods.
