Currently, we are seeking an experienced part time Mammography Technologist to join our dynamic team at our new Baldwin Park office located in Baldwin Park/Orlando.

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Mammography Technologist operates specialized equipment and performs mammography exams and procedures, under direct supervision, to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform mammography exams and procedures per established standards and guidelines.
• Perform bone densitometry exams per established standards and guidelines.
• Evaluate images for quality to maintain ACR accuracy in patient positioning and imaging techniques.
• Document patient and exam / procedure information in software programs.
• Demonstrate an understanding of human breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Provide patient education and answer questions regarding mammography exams and procedures.
• Follow infection control and radiation safety measures for all exams and procedures.
• Perform equipment quality control functions and MQSA documentation related to mammography and bone densitometry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Accredited Radiologic Technology Program graduate.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered license.
• ARRT Mammography certification, including Digital and Tomosynthesis.
• State of Florida registered license.
• CPR / BLS certification.
• Continuing Education - 200+ exams and 15 breast / 24 general CME / CEU credits
• Minimum one year of recent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic medical record experience.
• Medical Reporting Software (MRS) breast imaging reporting experience.
• ACR Accreditation / MQSA Regulations experience.

• Must possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of internal personnel, providers, personnel of outside organizations, and patients and their family members.

• May be exposed to radiation, noise, infectious / communicable diseases, blood and bloodborne diseases, bodily fluids, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
• May be exposed to distressed patients, families, or visitors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
• Requires occasional lifting / carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, and reaching.
• Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination with frequent computer monitor usage.
• Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
