Estimator - Mechanical HVAC

Commercial HVAC contractor in Sanford, FL is now accepting applications for a mechanical estimator.

Job Responsibilities:

• Estimate commercial HVAC projects up to $5 million
• Primarily new construction and renovation
  • E.g. shelling buildings, tenant build outs, retail centers, offices, warehouse, assembly, venues, etc.
• Comprehensive understanding of various mechanical and support equipment including but not limited to
• Roof top units, split systems, desiccant systems, exhaust fans, louvers, air distribution, ductwork, piping, insulation, and control
• Ability to read and understand:
• Plans and specifications, contracts, subcontracts, project schedules, procurement documents, equipment submittals, progress billing, close out documents, etc.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years estimating experience
• OR
• 5+ years of project manager experience
• Not required but a plus
• Knowledge of chillers, boilers, DDC controls, mechanical engineering, etc.
• Design build / design assist / value engineering experience
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Fast learner, critical thinker, and self-starter
• Time and resource manager
• Team player with good communication skills
• Professional presentation
• Ability to read, write, and communicate using the English language to sufficiently to perform job functions
