Receptionist - Lake Buena Vista (The YMCA Learning Center at the Walt Disney World Resort)

The YMCA of Central Florida is centrally located in Orlando, Florida. This location offers many world-class attractions, theme parks, diverse dining and shopping options, and an international airport. In a unique partnership with the Walt Disney World, the Y operates two state-of-the-art licensed child care facilities in Lake Buena Vista and Kissimmee. Through the efforts of dedicated staff, and obtaining successful program outcomes, these locations recently became Apple accredited! The program is open 365 days a year from 6:00 am – 11:00 pm. 

The YMCA of Central Florida is looking for a dynamic part-time Receptionist to assist with our busy front desk needs at the YMCA Disney Lake Buena Vista location. S/he must be highly skilled in answering multi-telephone lines and administrative support.  This individual will insure the professional appearance of the front desk/lobby area. S/he must posses superior professional communication skills, both in person and phone etiquette . This individual is responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of all supplies and equipment supplies (toner, paper, etc.) to insure the smooth operation of the Family Center Office.  S/he performs a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties. This position requires some physical demands, include sitting and/or standing, bending, for extended periods of time, lifting approximately 30 lbs, regular use of telephone, copier, fax and computer. Demands also include protracted concentration. Reliable transportation required.

The incumbent must be able to work a flexible part-time schedule based on business needs, that may include early mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and some holidays. 

Qualifications:           

  • Minimum age 21 years or older Associates degree or equivalent work experience required     
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows products including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a receptionist or related role strongly preferred.  Experience with mailings and mail merging is essential.
  • Must possess professional manner, excellent customer service skills, efficient multi-tasking skills, attention to detail and flexibility.
