Amgen is in search for a Lead, Finance Process & Technology.
The Lead will lead a team responsible for supporting Amgen s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization.
The Lead will work out of the Amgen Capability Center located in Tampa, Florida, and report directly to the Director of Financial Insights and Technology in Thousand Oaks, California.
Our new Tampa Capability Center provides essential services that enable us to better pursue this mission.
This state-of-the art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world s leading biotechnology companies.
Primary will include: 1) Overseeing annual budget / LRP and quarterly forecast processes to ensure the system process is well planned, supported and executed 2) Accountable for data quality and integrity in the Hyperion Financial Planning and Reporting system (FPR); understanding the data relationships and data flows between various systems including SAP, EDW and FPR 3) Providing guidance and service as point of escalation for complex data and system issues and formulate plans to analyze, identify, test and resolve operational issues with the team 4) Collaborating effectively and actively with key business partners to identify and implement continuous process and system improvements to drive business initiatives (including the development of a short and long term roadmap) 5) Leading and enhancing system training programs and conducting training sessions to global business users 6) Designing and creating standard and ad hoc financial reports that improve insight and transparency into financial results / plans 7) Managing staff of 2-3 professionals supporting Finance systems Basic Doctorate degree and 2 years of information systems experience OR Master s degree and 4 years of information systems experience OR Bachelor s degree and 6 years of information systems experience OR Associate s degree and 10 years of information systems experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of information systems experience Preferred Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Finance Management or Information Systems 5+ years experience in functional knowledge of financial budgeting and reporting processes 5+ years experience in implementing and supporting Oracle Hyperion technologies, Essbase, Planning, Reporting 8+ years experience in large scale global systems support Experience with financial reporting, metrics and key finance performance indicators Familiarity with data warehousing (Teradata), SQL query; SAP/BW is a plus Strong organizational skills and ability to work with technical (IT) on-shore / off-shore teams Ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of Finance and systems Ability to manage change and process improvements effectively Proven ability to work effectively in teams and manage various projects under time pressure Ability to work independently and manage own workload Candidate should have strong analytical skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
