Manages Occupational Health activities, workflow and nursing resources.
Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to insure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
Monitors and adheres to budget.
Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to insure compliance with budget guidelines.
Completes and/or coordinates completion of reports as required by state and federal agencies, SVHC and Ascension as it relates to OSHA, Worker's Compensation, Infection Control, Environment of Care.
Manages Occupational Health, Worker's Compensation and Employee Wellness.
Manages the Employee Health services of SVHC employees and applicants to ensure compliance of established protocols.
Performs case management of Worker's Compensation claims.
Assures appropriate medical treatment, early return to work and benefits explanation.
Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s): Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure required.
One or more of the following: Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
(ACLS) is not required, but will be accepted in lieu of BLS.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education: Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
ASN or BSN preferred.
Work Experience: 3+ years nursing experience required.
