Job Description: 
Fattmerchant is seeking a talented System Administrator. As we grow our team we will have more need for someone to oversee our internal and external software systems, servers, toolings, scripts, support channels and development operations. This role will change over time and eventually move away from support requests. This role will be part of the Fattmerchant technology team “Fattlabs”.

The Systems Administrator is a hands-on technical role focused on the administering and supporting systems spanning for our cloud-based hosting environment. The Systems Administrator takes ownership of support requests reported by our end users, client support team, and other business teams to resolve, escalate, or identify further action required to provide resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of technologies, operating systems, networking concepts and a desire to continuously improve upon that knowledge.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives: 
● Develop and manage architecture for daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems, completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
● Design system and application architectures to improve performance and scalability.
● Prioritize, and resolve all support requests in an organized fashion.
● Administration and monitoring of cloud-based network systems.
● Develop automation scripts using Bash or Javascript.
● Assist with security tasks such as patch management in Windows, Mac and Linux environments.
Create and maintain configuration documentation, as well as system and operations documentation.

Preferred Qualifications: 
● Three or more years of Linux administration and application resource utilization monitoring.
● Solid understanding of network concepts and troubleshooting skills, DNS, IP and network hardware
● Experience developing scripts for automating administrative tasks
● Experience with Apache or Nginx web server configuration and administration
● Advanced knowledge of AWS including Elastic Beanstalk, IAM, S3, EC2, and Cloudtrail.
● Some knowledge of BASH, NodeJS or other web programming languages.
● Working familiarity with Mac OS X.
