Early Childhood Programs Educator. Part time position. Prep, organize, and implement OSC and Grant funded on- and off-site programs for children five years of age and under at various locations throughout various surrounding counties. Help replenish program supplies, research topics and projects, and test-out new activities and material for current and upcoming.
Qualifications:
- Experience and enjoy working with children 18 months – 5 years
- Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities:
- Plan, prep, and organize for upcoming programs offered on- and off-site.
- Create new activity materials for on- and off-site programs.
- Deliver on- and off-site Early Childhood Programs; locations will vary and travel is required.
- Drive an OSC van to and from off-sites on a daily basis.
- Engage participating guests in program content.
- Ensure all program supplies are organized and well-maintained.
- Report any broken, limited or missing supplies to Early Childhood Specialist.
- Assist with prepping and (possibly) participating in Early Childhood Programs on select Saturdays.
- Assist with other department programs as needed.
- Occasional Preschool and Graphics Department interaction
- Occasional assistance editing pre-existing curriculum for current programs per Specialist’s directives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2+ years of college courses, preferably Early Childhood, Education, Science or Psychology majors.
- Pass Criminal background check and fingerprinting.
- Ability to work independently
- Have a valid Florida Drivers License.
- Travel up to 65 miles one-way to deliver program content.
- Possess personal initiative.
- Self-motivate to seek out task and projects.
- Be flexible and adaptable.
- Willingness to get messy if project or assignment requires.
- Report promptly to work on days scheduled.
- Inform staff supervisor directly if unable to attend or if late.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
