Public Areas Attendant

Job Title: Public Areas Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain a clean and organized working environment
Help with removal of trash in all public areas
Meet all cleaning and safety standards while cleaning
Using the proper chemicals when cleaning
Vacuuming all carpeted areas in public areas
Report any villa needs and repairs that are needed to supervisors or management
Ensure guests safety by using available wet floor signs while mopping
Complete all special projects or deep cleaning assigned that day
Inspect vacuums for repairs or bag replacement
Ensure mopping and sweeping of all venues when needed
High and low dusting of all venues
Upkeep of exterior/interiors of all public venues
Remove debris from all bushes and trees
Walk exterior of the Village to pick up trash
Drive carts safely throughout the Village
Follow all safety procedures to ensure personal and guests safety
Follow Village attendance standards
Follow OSHA regulations when dealing with chemicals, blood borne pathogens and hazardous waste materials

PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:

Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to bend
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, extended hours

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Ability to perform all daily duties of position with limited supervision
Ability to communicate any needs or ideas to help improve work environment
Ability to speak, read and write English is preferable
Ability to communicate with guests, supervisors and other staff members on Village needs
Good decision-making skills for safety
Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.
Meet or surpass Village expectations of cleanliness for incoming guests
Work in outdoor weather conditions
Basic math skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
