Maintenance Tech - Resort / Hotel

Join our Maintenance Team!

Position purpose: Responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and common areas. Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment. Responds to guest maintenance concerns. Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance projects. General knowledge of a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, and technology. Must possess knowledgeable of basic hand/power tool operation.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work a flexible shift including weekends and holidays.
• Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift.
• Review the hotel status and follow up actions with the previous shift.
• Ensure that afterhours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored and documented.
• Handle deliveries received during non-business hours.
• Respond to the scene of guest/employee accident promptly; administer first aid; communicate specified information to E.M.S./medical personnel as required.
• Answer the departmental telephone.
• Communicate by radio with designated hotel personnel.
• Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering.
• Legibly complete designated reports.
• Document all pertinent information in the log book daily.
• Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving.

*** Requirements ***Candidates must have prior Hotel, Resort or Facility Maintenance experience. Minimum 1 year experience.
