Maingate Lakeside Resort is a Richfield managed property that is located 2 miles from the entrance to Disney World and we are currently looking for the SUPERSTAR to join our team.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual that is bursting with enthusiasm. Someone who is technically savvy with exceptional people skills. An individual that wants to provide a level of customer service that shines through and makes our guest’s day better and brighter than they could ever have imagined.
The Front Office Agent will perform a combination of duties mainly related, but not limited to, the checking-in and checking-out of guests while contributing to the overall positive guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Register and assign rooms to guests.
- Issue room key and escort instructions to Bell Attendant or directly to guests as appropriate.
- Receive and deliver messages.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and other available services.
- Keep records of room availability and guest accounts.
- Calculate bill, collect payment and make change for guests.
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations for guests, as needed.
- Post charges for room, food, liquor, telephone, and other incidental charges.
- Make restaurant, transportation or entertainment reservations for guests as needed.
- Accurately maintain and balance cash bank.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Skills
- Must possess considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and back-up systems.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Service oriented. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of one year customer service experience, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Must be highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
