The Housekeeping Houseperson ensures the levels of building cleanliness meet or exceed a 4 star / 4 diamond standard on a daily basis by following the Resorts standards for cleanliness. In addition, the Housekeeping Houseperson answers all guest and housekeeping calls and deliveries in a safe, efficient and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:           

  1. Clean all buildings and guests areas assigned and ensure they are in accordance with the level of quality expected and in keeping with the house person’s daily checklist
  2. Respond to all guests & housekeeping calls in a safe, efficient and courteous manner
  3. Provide transportation for Housekeeping employees to and from work locations
  4. Stocking of all Room Attendant carts daily
  5. Remove and dispose of all refuse and debris from lodging buildings, service areas and the overall property as sighted
  6. Delivery, removal, separation, and disposition of linen from the lodging buildings
  7. Report any problems of quality to the Supervisor or Manager by contacting the housekeeping coordinator
  8. Assist in Maintaining safe working conditions and practices 
  9. Ensure that your proper uniform and nametag is worn at all times
  10. Maintain effective communication with all co-workers and supervisors
  11. Communicate clearly and always display a positive attitude
  12. Operate in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and government regulations
  13. Maintain and ensure a high level of professionalism throughout the department
  14. Ensure all assets and supplies for the department are kept secure and in storage at all times
  15. Be familiar and assist with all emergency and fire procedures
  16. Report to Security any suspicious activity
  17. Follow key sign in and sign out procedures
  18. Adhere to scheduled work hours and attendance policies and procedures
  19. Familiarize self with the property Housekeeping policies and procedures
  20. Offer assistance to guest using their first name whenever possible
  21. Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of all equipment and supplies at all times, including, but not limited to; floor cleaning machines, carpet/upholstery cleaners and vacuums
  22. Maintain clean work areas at all times (i.e. room attendant carts, linen and supply closets).
  23. Attend and participate in required meetings
  24. Participate in daily meeting with the Executive Housekeeper/supervisors to retrieve daily updates etc.
  25. Ensure all Maintenance deficiencies are reported promptly, including, but not limited to repairs, replacements or damages caused by guests
  26. Be familiar with the proper placement of furniture and amenities of the rooms
  27. Carry out any reasonable request by management of which the associate is capable of performing
  28. Smile and greet all guests and co-workers that you come in contact with

Job Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Prior Housekeeping experience is preferred
  3. Good organizational skills and must be able to handle multiple tasks
  4. Able to work on your feet for long periods of time
  5. Basic English language required in order to communicate effectively to all guests
