Maintenance Assistant

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

Precision Manufacturer in Sanford, Florida is seeking a Maintenance Assistant.

The primary duty will be to clean the machines and the facility.

Primary duties

• Assist with the machining chips recycling and disposal process

• Schedule chip and solid recycling pickup and propane fill-Up for forklift

• Assist operators with equipment and shop housekeeping

• Assist with prevention and correction of environmental issues and improvement

• Assist other departments with maintenance and janitorial needs

• Follow and uphold all company policies, including those designated for quality and environmental/safety considerations

• Ensure that all materials used in the job function are disposed of properly

• Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment required for given tasks

• Assist in completing any maintenance work orders within your skill level

QUALIFICATIONS

• This is an entry-level position where the individual must be able to learn how to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

Must be eligible to work in the US

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Individual must be organized, efficient and able to work with little supervision

• Individual must have basic computer skills

HS Diploma

REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a Pre-employment drug screen

Must have a Background Check - No history of felony convictions

Salary: Starting pay $11.00 an hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00 (overtime and weekends, when needed)

Term: Fulltime to Hire
