We call it Digital Missions. Cru has a long standing history of being a pioneer in world Christian Missions, and it’s happening again in the digital realm. Our Digital Products and Services department creates and innovates technology solutions for the global Church that engage the lost and empower multiplying disciples. We are looking for the most talented individuals with a passion and burning desire to use their digital skills to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed to the nations.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to help Cru accomplish it’s wildly important goal of “Known and Moving”.  We believe that each person matters to Jesus, and that means so should we, including digitally. We are embarking on a new mission to help individuals around the world who are Known by the Lord to be better “Known” by Cru and help them “Move” closer to Christ.  We’re working across multiple disciplines to create a technical stack to accomplish exactly that. If you enjoy working in cross-functional teams, moving the ball forward as a team on a significant array of tasks, and learning new skills/tools/methods, all in order to demonstrably help fulfill the great commission - this may be the role for you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Lead and manage project teams for the known and moving initiative.

These project management responsibilities will include:

  • Consultations with the project teams, leaders and stakeholders to clearly identify goals and objectives for each project.
  • Identify and secure resources needed
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions related to specific projects
  • Monitor results and make periodic reports to leadership on overall effectiveness
  • Monitors for the team incoming incidents and project tasks in tools such as Jira; helps set team
  • priorities, flags urgent issues to team members for immediate follow-up
  • Assists Director and Team Leaders with scheduling deadlines for team
  • Generate and disseminate information about project timelines and statuses.

ABILITY TO:

  • Demonstrate abilities and skills in the area of project management and implementation.
  • Be well-organized and demonstrate ability to multi-task
  • Be detail-oriented and capable of working under pressure with time constraints/deadlines
  • Be able to work and lead by influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Handle instantaneous changes to job priorities and schedules, and work with diplomacy, and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of Cru.

It would be nice if:

  • You are a Google sheets whiz.
  • You know how to groom a backlog in Jira.
  • You get excited about organizing lists in Basecamp.
  • You enjoy a round of disc golf on Fridays at noon.
