SummaryUnder the direction of the Associate Dean and Chairs, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing data and generating reports, contracts, and assisting with assessments.
This works closely with and provides administrative support to the Department Chairs, Associate Chairs, Associate Dean and Dean with other duties as required.
The Academic Coordinator must possess a high standard of work, exercise discretion when handling confidential information, and pay close attention to detail.
Job DescriptionDuties and Tasks: Analyze student and faculty data and generate reports for quality assurance.
Assist the Department Chairs, and Associate Chairs with faculty clearances, run budget reports, course schedules, program evaluations.
Create faculty contract payroll each semester for overloads.
Assist with Industry Councils.
Support special projects, such as Business Week.
Track course development agreements.
Assist with assessment.
TSOB newsletter.
Prepares travel arrangements for travel to centers and travel reimbursements for the Department Chairs.
Assist the Department Chairs and Associate Chairs with placing hiring ads, and interview scheduling.
Coordinate and schedule department meetings.
Provide administrative support for Academic Program Reviews.
Maintain School of Business calendar.
Create screen updates for TECO Lobby.
Assist with celebration of Academic Excellence Day.
Support the Chairs, Associate Dean, and Dean with other duties as required.
Assist in approving R25 room reservations.
Document and track maintenance service requests.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge:AA, Bachelor or higher degree in business or closely related field.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of academic processes with 2-3 years of working experience in an educational setting.
Skills:Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills.
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Colleague.
Knowledge of internet resources.
Excellent customer service skills.
Abilities:Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
