Typical : Collectors on our IONM team are responsible for following up on claims and obtaining all the necessary documentation to determine maximum allowable for Out of Network reimbursement for patients seen at our Florida and Texas clinic locations.
Seasoned professionals well-versed in healthcare terminology and well-practiced in computer systems (EMR systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel) will be best-suited to the role.
Key Competencies: Knowledge of Out of Network benefits and reimbursements.
Understanding of insurance payers and reimbursement methods.
Ability to achieve daily, weekly and monthly individual and department goals.
High School graduate.
5+ years of healthcare collection/billing reimbursement experience.
Thorough knowledge of Managed Care, PPO, UB04, medical terminology, CPT4 codes, ICD9 codes, technical job knowledge, and Third Party payer and reimbursement rules, medical terminology, abbreviations, and techniques.
Excellent written and oral communication along with good analytical skills of situations.
