Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
).
Communicate with service advisor when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period.
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems; use equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Experience is necessary Some level of instructor led automotive training (e.
g.
high school automotive vocational, college, technical school, OEM, etc.
) Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
