Summary

Clean carpets and floors in rooms and public areas of the resort.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned.

Drives vehicles or golf carts with floor mounted or portable commercial carpet, upholstery and interior cleaning machines, tools and supplies to work site

Clean carpets, upholstery, floors and room accessories to remove effects of smoke and water damage such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew and excess water moisture. Must wax and strip floors as needed.

Places fans and dehumidifiers in strategic room location to remove moisture from carpets, upholstery and air

Verifies moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor

Spray or fogs carpets, upholstery and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers and disinfectants

Inspect completed restoration to ensure conformance to standards

Assists in training of fellow employees in the department

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
