The Online Student Outreach Representative delivers support to Online Student Success Advisors by providing encouragement, tools and resources to help guide students. The team assists by creating a commitment with students to overcome roadblocks and to attain academic achievements. They will create a sense of optimism, excitement, assurance, and clarity within the student, while also re-affirming our pledge to student success. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winter Park, FL, working from local offices in support of The Los Angeles Film School.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently and professionally support students with clear communication, concerned care, creative and timely solutions to problems
  • Monitor student progress, identify situations that require attention, and direct students to Online Instructors and or Online Advising when needed
  • Maintain high volume and high-quality student calls daily to achieve goals
  • Provide high-quality and effective student support and problem resolution
  • Listen, document, and help resolve conflicts with students
  • Provide timely feedback to Online Advising regarding challenges or student concerns
  • Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines (FERPA)
  • Demonstrate and uphold the integrity of policies and procedures of The Los Angeles Film School, ACCSC, the U.S. Department of Education, and other accrediting bodies

  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, follow-up, and counseling skills
  • Strong telephone-based customer service
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task
  • Positive attitude and a passion for coaching and mentoring students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook required)
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
  • Tactful, professional, flexible to the needs of a dynamic organization, able to work in a team environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Demonstrated English communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated physical, visual, and auditory capacity to work on a computer and communicate effectively with students via telephone and computer
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Previous customer service experience
