Job Description

This position is responsible for organizing the electrical work of the assigned job crew, as well as ensuring company objectives of cost, quality, and equipment conservation are met. The candidate will monitor and document the progress of the assigned work area, up to and including the quality and quantity of work performed by the job crew. Candidate will also ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and on par with job safety standards. The candidate will serve as the liaison between the job superintendent and the work force. This is an opportunity to BUILD your career with Tri-City!

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and organize the work of job crew employees on a daily basis
  • Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, and job folder contract scope
  • Attend coordination meetings as required and provide necessary information
  • Assist in the monitoring and documentation of progress of the job through the use of appropriate forms and procedures as directed by the superintendent
  • Provide work force with current and accurate information as generated by the Superintendent, including RFI’s, memorandums, and any other forms of communication devices
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to the job crew
  • Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Codes as needed
  • Order daily materials as needed for your work area and follow up on back orders as necessary through the Superintendent
  • Monitor and manage tool control for job site
  • Ensure job site is properly cleaned up at the end of each work day
  • Ensure compliance with all job standards established by Tri-City and all regulatory agencies

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • A passion for learning and the drive to succeed
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Electrician
  • Must have strong working knowledge of National Electrical Codes
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Must be proficient in the use of all tools and equipment related to commercial electrical work, systems, and troubleshooting
  • Requires the ability to report to jobsites throughout Florida; locations vary depending on the individuals home location (i.e., Altamonte, Tampa, Pompano, Ft. Myers)
  • Must possess the skills to communicate job requirements and safety standards to the crew and must have the ability to motivate job crew
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language at a minimum 12th grade level
