Senior Accountant:

Thaney & Associates, CPAs are looking for an experienced CPA to be a key role in our growing firm. As our client list continues to grow, it’s necessary to build a team that will support the continued growth of our firm. We have offices in New York and Florida.

We are looking for a CPA who is organized, motivated, proactive, and accountable for their work, but can also:

• Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in solving problems
• Perform proactively and self-manage
• Must be organized and meticulous
• Develop understanding of clients’ businesses and aspects of their industries
• Assist clients with special projects
• Review Corporate, Individual, and Partnership tax returns
• Ability to develop and sustain business relationships for the purpose of increasing the firm’s client base

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Four or more years of relevant Public Accounting experience
• Experience with various Federal and State tax returns including individual, corporate, trust, estate, nonprofit and partnership
• Knowledge in U.S. GAAP
• Financial Statement knowledge - audit, review, and compilation
• Strong technology skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, and CCH Axcess software preferred
