Description
Job Responsibilities: (Summer camp)
• Follows the Mission of the Youth Program and maintains the Isleworth Country Club’s standard for excellence and reputation
• Provides a safe and positive environment for all campers and staff • Handles camp related behavioral issues and addresses in a timely manner with camper and parent.
• Assists in the planning of Camp weekly schedules in conjunction with Youth Manager
• Facilitates weekly camp activities as designed
• Assists with input of purchasing and maintenance of camp supplies and equipment
• Maintains excellent rapport with members, parents, campers and community members
• Submits a daily briefing/recap of Camp to Youth Activities Manager
• Recaps with Manager at the end of the end of summer with reports and feedback of for future camp goals while reflecting back on past curriculum.
• Under direction of Manager, offers structural and/ or activity changes as needed to ensure smooth, diverse and fun camp flow
• Acts as the Lead Camp Counselor and communicates staff concerns to Manager • Submits work schedules, along with staff vacation requests for approval by Youth Manager Seasonal Event / Birthday Party Job Responsibilities:
• Facilitates seasonal events, address concerns and manages staff when Youth & Families Activities Manager is not present
• Provides a safe and positive environment to all event attendees
• Oversee staff and manage Bull Pen during active hours (hours and days subject to change)
• Commit to a “Club first” schedule, including working all Bull Pen hours (subject to change), weekly Wednesday Family Night Buffets.Birthday Parties AND Pop-Up Parties (As needed)
• Meet weekly with Youth & Families Manager to review upcoming events, • Staff and ensure successful handover for events
• Oversee event setup and cleanup when Youth & Families Manager is not present
• Meet to review post event with Youth & Families Manager to discuss successes/failures
Requirements
• Positive working relationship with fellow employees in various departments
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
• Positive character, integrity and adaptability
• Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control • Desire and ability to work with children in/outdoors
• Experience as a camper, teacher and /or experience working with children
