SUMMARY:

To provide administrative assistance to the VP of Global Fund Development and manage internal/external communications related to GFD Capacity team priorities.  This role helps accomplish the team mission of increasing global ministry sustainability by increasing effectiveness in global fund development at the local area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage VP correspondence, email, voicemail and calendar; responds for VP when appropriate.
  • Schedule all international and domestic travel for VP – flights, lodging, rental cars, securing appropriate visas, etc.
  • Assist VP in preparing for meetings. This includes securing room reservations, catered meals, sending out calendar invitations, taking notes in meetings and distributing and edited summary and action points to attendees following meetings.
  • Assist VP and works closely with GFD Operations Director in managing Capacity team Corporate Cards and budgeting tasks.
  • Assist VP in managing tasks related to the role of a Global Coach.
  • Manage VP’s relationships with Cru global leadership community and professionals throughout the ministry.
  • Coordinate GFD Capacity team communication, both internally and externally.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Electronic record keeping techniques
  • Intermediate to advanced database operations
  • Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary

  • Google Apps., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Proficient with or ability to learn quickly MS Office software products, Google Apps, and project management software (e.g. Basecamp,Trello)
  • Have the foresight to anticipate what administrative details need to be addressed in order to accomplish delegated tasks/be a self-starter
  • Minimal travel required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Two-year college degree/specialized training and 3-5 years of experience.  Will consider a combination of education and experience.
