SUMMARY
Assist the Electrician with installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment at our Lake Hart Campus. Helps maintain electrical and lighting systems, equipment and fixtures including conduit, lighting and power circuits, transformers, control equipment, switches, switchboards, plugs, lights, and circuit breakers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with adjustments, calibrations, repairs and performs preventive maintenance to electrical equipment.
- Assist in the installation or replacement of necessary interior and exterior wiring for equipment, appliances and lighting.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems to locate defects or malfunctions; replace fuses, cords and sockets.
- Observe, interpret and comply with Federal, State and Local electrical codes; inspect work of contractors to assure compliance with specifications, plans, regulations and codes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of standard tools, equipment, methods and techniques used in the skilled electrical trade.
- Knowledge of trouble shooting techniques applied to digital and analog circuits.
- Ability to assist in the repairs, installations and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, plans, and shop drawings.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma and minimum one year on the job and/or equivalent to electrical experience
Certificates, License, Registrations:
Valid Florida Driver’s License
