Who we’re looking For:

We are looking for a ministry-minded, qualified iOS developer to join our Engineering team. You will be working with our engineers & architects to develop and maintain Cru’s flagship mobile applications.

If you’re passionate about mobile platforms and translating code into user-friendly apps, we would like to meet you. As an iOS developer, you’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to develop functional mobile applications, which support and empower Cru’s mission to give everyone an opportunity to know someone who truly follows Jesus.

About the Mobile Team:

You’ll be working directly with our mobile development team, responsible for providing solutions for Cru’s flagship mobile apps. The mobile team is made up of iOS, Android, and ReactNative developers. None of our team has ended up here by chance. All our staff have made clear choices to answer God’s call in their lives leaving successful positions in various industries to pull together and preach Christ through digital solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
  • Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code
  • Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
  • Write unit and UI tests to identify and prevent malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
  • Liaise with Product development team to plan new features
  • Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards
  • Research and suggest new mobile products, applications and protocols
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology trends
  • Getting Hands on Training from Senior Team Members
  • Getting Training through Conferences
  • Drinking & Making Coffee
  • Going to Company Parties

Skills you need to have: ·Proven experience as a mobile developer

  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications in the Apple Store
  • In-depth knowledge of iOS, Swift and Objective C
  • Experience with libraries and APIs such as: CoreData, Realm, PromiseKit, Alamofire
  • Experience building web/mobile client applications that interact with RESTful APIs
  • Some knowledge of ReactNative a plus.
  • Familiarity with OOP design principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to perform in a team environment.
  • **Additional “not required but nice to also have” skills include:
  • Experience with ReactNative and Android platforms
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with AWS platform and services

  • BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field
