The Direct Admit Units function is to provide quality care using a multi-disciplinary approach. Delivery of care includes a multidisciplinary team approach consisting of physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital ancillary personal. This team approach is designed to meet the needs of patients awaiting an inpatient bed. The Direct Admit Unit is located on 8C in South Tower. The Unit consists of 12 remote telemetry beds; open Monday at 7am-Friday at 1900 each week. The unit is closed on weekends and holidays. The primary focus is to provide access to the community for adult and geriatric patients awaiting a bed within the hospital setting, i.e. Direct Admissions.
We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to work in our Direct Admits Unit at Orlando Regional Medical Center with the following qualifications:
Twelve months hospital RN experience.
Maintains current Florida RN license and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification are required.
ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas. PALS required for Pediatric Critical Care areas. NRP required for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BSN preferred.
NOTE: Variable Full Time (Between 32 to 39 hours per week). Day and Night shifts available. Schedules may include weekends and holidays.
The RN Clinical Nurse II provides direct patient care in a hospital setting.
