THE POSITION

We are looking for a talented and highly-motivated candidate who desires to start a new life adventure becoming a key member of the MedTech Momentum family. This position is at the cornerstone of all company activities. Success will not be as much about your professional experience as it will be about your interpersonal, organizational, communication skills, and your ability/desire to learn quickly.

The ideal candidate will be confident, mature, professional, creative-minded leader who pays close attention to detail while successfully multi-tasking in a fast-paced office. He or she should be familiar with working in an office setting using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Smartsheet, Constant Contact, MailChimp, and HubSpot.

Experience in directing or launching social initiatives themselves or on behalf of an organization or client is essential. The Director of Social Media & PR must also be comfortable leading and managing a team of passionate individuals with deep knowledge of community dynamics, social media and networks both in and outside of the agency’s walls.

The primary goal of this position is to manage the Social Media & PR Department. The ideal candidate will intimately understand how to utilize social media to drive traffic to websites and how to convert directly from various social media platforms. The chosen candidate will manage multiple clients focused in the Medical Device Industry. The role will include strategy development, content development, calendar building, light graphic design (Canva) and oversight and participation in all elements of the social conversation.

The position reports to the VP of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage & guiding the day-to-day projects that relate to social media, content, emails, & press releases
  • Directly supervises a team of Social Media Coordinators and Copywriters
  • Work closely with Account Managers
  • Organize & manage briefs, projects, agendas, calendars, etc. via Smartsheet
  • Review & send monthly social media content publishing calendars, blogs & press releases to clients for approvals
  • Continually search for innovative ways to highlight the company’s competitive edge in the online environment
  • Guides projects from planning to deployment to optimization with focus on top line goals including: client satisfaction, creative success, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Proactively communicates with internal team and clients to manage projects
  • Actively participates in client meetings; leads the presentation of social media strategies and tactics
  • Build long-lasting relationships with clients and recognize opportunities to grow existing business
  • Manage the planning and production of keywords (SEMrush), emails (Constant Contact, MailChimp & HubSpot), social media (eClincher), blogs, whitepapers, and press releases (PRweb)
  • Ensure quality and consistency of brand identity, narrative, tone and personality across all channels
  • Research audience preferences and stay current on digital marketing trends and best practices, focusing on how changes can help improve and optimize campaigns towards our target KPIs
  • Collaborate with our Graphics Department and Copywriters to develop visually engaging content
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention
  • An expert in social best practices who knows how to drive engagement and site visits
  • Lead the framework, measurement and reporting systems for social activity, metrics and trends by creating quarterly marketing reports for the clients regarding the Social Media & PR Department
  • Analyze monthly reports and develop and execute recommendations based on results

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Extreme attention to detail!!! This is the #1 priority for the position. (Any resumes with errors will not be accepted)
  • Comfort with managing multiple projects at once without sacrificing detail
  • Considerable knowledge of media channels including social media, content and email marketing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Maintain a working knowledge of principles of SEO such as keyword research
  • Maintain knowledge of key marketing trends, industry and competitive activity
  • Deep understanding of how to drive engagement and conversion with all relevant social channels

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or above preferred in Marketing or related field
  • 4+ years working experience in a marketing capacity
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Intermediate level experience with email marketing software (Constant Contact, MailChimp, & HubSpot)
  • Experience with press releases and platforms such as PRweb.com
  • Experience with organic and paid social media strategies

A PLUS

  • HubSpot Certified
  • Experience in Medical/Healthcare Industry
  • Copywriting and editing skills
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • Speaks French

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read and write English fluently
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work in the U.S.
