SUMMARY

The Creative Director will guide and oversee the responsibilities of graphic artists, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and other members of the creative team in developing print and digital promotional pieces for Jesus Film Project. The CD works with marketing managers and internal clients to scope and execute projects; monitoring workflows, budgets and schedules throughout the project lifecycle. The CD oversees the recruiting, training and development of graphic artist team.

FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Develops the creation of digital assets needed for campaigns to help JFP reach goals and objectives, together with Marketing managers.
  • Delivers solutions that are on-time, on budget with clear communication throughout the project related to milestones
  • Creates works for digital and analog channels
  • Empowers the organization to promote JFP through design of MPD collateral, product pieces, and internal communication pieces (email design, newsletters, Workplace)
  • Trains and evaluates creative team members throughout the organization, regardless of reporting relationship
  • Maintains and develops brand consistency throughout creative pieces
  • Uses creative expertise to interpret a client’s vision and produce a tangible product

  • Maintains a healthy balance of productivity and commitment to personal continuous improvement
  • Develop and communicate a process to plan and execute projects effectively
  • Coordinates the external creative capacity of JFP through vendor relationships

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  • Extensive knowledge of production processes
  • Knowledge in graphic design execution
  • Modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ministry organization, operation, policies and objectives
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
  • Principles and practices of administration, supervision and training
  • Budget preparation and control
  • Management and supervisory principles
  • Intermediate personal computer operation, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office, as well as other creative software like the Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Basic research methods
  • Editing and proofing skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A 2-year associate degree in graphic design or a marketing related field and at least 2 years of experience in creative direction or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Knowledge or experience in brand management is preferred.
