Primary job duties are:

  • Conducts visual and measurement test in receiving inspection to ensure incoming product meets requirements.
  • Use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, multi-meters, etc.) to inspect parts and assemblies for compliance to the design data
  • Maintains quality records in accordance with AS9100, Government and FAA requirements 
  • Maintains accurate quality records including: inspection records, calibration records, and corrective action reports
  • Write Nonconforming Material Reports when required and be familiar with the process of quarantining products that have been rejected
  • Interpret structural and electrical drawings, drawing notes, and Bill of Materials to ensure parts and assemblies are in compliance with the design data
  • Use design data to ensure parts and assemblies have been part mark in accordance with 14 CFR Part 45
  • Interact with Government and Customer Source Inspection Representatives as needed
  • Some secondary duties include but are not limited to: gage calibration, MRB disposition, AS9102 FAIR, reviewing material certs, shipment document review and performing internal audits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of inspection/quality control experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Must have a solid background in inspection of dimensional devices and components
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions, and customer required records
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Excellent written, oral, communicational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding quality, FAA, ISO, and AS9100
  • Must be proficient at GD&T
  • J-STD Certification a plus
  • Experience with AS9100 and QMS requirements
  • Must be familiar with the use of measuring and test equipment included but not limited to micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators, and depth micrometers.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to read and write, and understand English.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision
