Job Title:       Housekeeper

Department:  Housekeeping

Reports to:     Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeping Managers, Housekeeping Coordinators       

OVERVIEW/POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for stripping and pre-cleaning preparation of Villas. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Villa Preparation

• Strip linen from villas
• Remove trash from villas
• Pick-up guest trash from in front of villas
• Trash pickup in front of all villas on property by specified time

Supplies

• Maintain and organize housekeeping warehouse
• Prepare clean linen, cleaning and villa supplies for Villa Attendants
• Remove medical equipment from villas and/or  call Support Services for pick up of same
• Respond to all radio requests in timely manner for guests or staff
• Order villa supplies from Support Services in a timely manner to maintain warehouse inventory par levels
• Conduct Disney Linen runs

Food & Beverage

• Remove  dirty rags from Food & Beverage outlets
• Provide clean rags to Food & Beverage outlets

All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:

• Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, balance, use hands and arms
• Ability to lift up to 75+ pounds, unassisted
• Work in outdoor weather conditions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends and/or extended hours of work

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to perform daily functions with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with guests, co-workers and management
• Good decision making skills to ensure a safe work environment
• Ability to operate a golf cart
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• High School Diploma
• Previous experience as a Houseperson, preferred
