SUMMARY
The Finance Coordinator gives direction, accountability, and administrative lift to financial operations for the Global Mobilization department of Jesus Film Project, with a significant emphasis on the Jesus Film Mission Trips team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Jesus Film Mission Trips Team
● Approve or oversee approval of financial transactions such as Upload Journals, Reimbursements, Advances, OneCards, Trip Budgets and Reconciliations. Keep a record of Upload Journals.
● Coordinate training staff on financial transactions such as Upload Journals, Reimbursements, Advances, OneCards, Trip Budgets and Reconciliations (especially when procedures change).
● Sign off on Cash Advances and Participant Reimbursements.
● Monitor or oversee all of JFMT trip finances and informs JFMT managers of issues, as needed. Help ensure all participants have fully paid by deadline. (Check financial report on database).
● Assist trip leaders with questions they have about participant donations and payments, trip finances, and the leader’s chartfield.
● Remind participants of expiring trip credits. (Check financial report on database).
● Oversee the JFMT scholarship account.
● Maintain yearly allocations for trip leader funding (February).
● Meet across departments (Donation Services, IGT, Payables, etc) as needed
Global Mobilization Department
● Help create and review department budget along with directors of Global Mobilization each fiscal year; and manage monies with integrity.
● Help create and review team budgets along with team leaders of Global Mobilization each fiscal year; and manage monies with integrity.
● Track spending of Global Mobilization’s team budgets and advise team leaders and administrators to adjust spending as needed.
● Help team leaders navigate the SPQ/Allocation funding request process, including the WESS database (training provided).
● Approve Ministry Card expense reports according to JFP Finance guidelines.
● Continually refine and think through how to more efficiently utilize JFP resources in light of JFP guiding principles.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• CCC financial systems and procedures, able to train and develop others in those areas. Level of knowledge: moderate to high. (training provided).
• Budgeting and financial stewardship principles. Level of knowledge: moderate to high.
• JFMT trips, terminology, Jesus Film products. Level of knowledge: low to moderate.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point). Level of knowledge: moderate to high.
• PeopleSoft Financials. Level of knowledge: moderate to high.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor’s Degree preferred, especially a financial field
● 2 years experience working in a finance focused position strongly preferred
