Facilities Operations Manager

Seminole State College of Florida is accepting applications for a Facilities Operations Manager from candidates with previous experience managing and supervising facilities operations.

This position oversees the facilities operations at the college Sanford / Lake Mary Campus and provides support to all college sites. Ensures proper operation of all building systems and plans and directs building and grounds maintenance and custodial work at the Sanford/Lake Mary campus.

Supervises and coordinates the activities of the facilities staff assigned to the designated locations in consultation with their supervisors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
2. Five years of skilled work experience in one or more trade specialties.
3. Five years of management and supervisory experience in facilities operations.
4. Experience using computer applications and software.
5. Valid Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in facility management, engineering or a business related field.
2. Certification in Facilities Management from a recognized institution.
3. Eight or more years of skilled work experience in one or more trade specialties.
4. Experience working in a similar role for a higher-education institution.
5. Experience using CMMS and Controls Systems.
