About The Role 

As a show diver, you will be a qualified rescue diver, with a desire to provide engaging displays to all of our guests.  You will be passionate about conservation and marine welfare and will take every opportunity to educate our guests on these important matters.  You will participate in numerous dive shows daily, in various habitats, working with other divers and a variety of marine life.  You will be proactive, independent and professional, optimizing your time in ensuring as many guests learn about our Rescue and Protect programs as possible.

Job Responsibilities

• To ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness and professionalism are upheld throughout all areas.
• Ensure all diving related equipment is maintained to the highest standard and is serviced within the appropriate Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ensure a detailed log of all dive experiences and animal behavior is kept.
• Work regularly to review dive processes, conducting risk assessments
• As directed, ensure completion of all diving record systems to comply with standards of operation, Health and Safety, and local legal requirements (e.g. Zoo License).
• Communicate confidently to groups of people and individuals as an expert on all dive activities, the environment and the animals in our habitats.
• To have thorough experience as a SCUBA Diver in dive practice and theory including EAPs, decompression theory, equipment maintenance and peak performance buoyancy.
• To have knowledge of the Water Environment, this will aid in identifying and resolving problems with the environment for diving activities.
• To have a practical ability to participate in promoting the activities within the SEA LIFE brand.
• To deliver amazing guest interaction during a live show and in between scheduled dives

Essential Requirements:

• 60 logged dives with experience in sea diving, inland diving, and aquarium diving.
• PADI Rescue diver (or equivalent qualification from a recognized diving body)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to deliver briefs to large volumes of guests
• Experience with logging dives, diver medical declarations. Dive table theory to plan dives to schedule
• Motivated, flexible to meet business demands
