Essential Functions: Under the direction of the Director of Clinic Operations, performs various duties to accurately interpret and bill physician charges for physician services.  Patient Charge Specialist enters the appropriate CPT and ICD-10 charges into the billing system.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma plus some college, business or technical training

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

  • Minimum of one year experience with CPT and ICD -10 coding of physician services preferred Medical terminology and anatomy preferred; computer and keyboard skills. Medical record review experience preferred
  • Knowledge of current third party billing and collection regulatory guidelines and requirements.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a basic understanding of team management concepts.
  • Ability to gather and interpret clinical data.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
