This position will provide you with extensive training as a nuclear propulsion plant operator and technician. As an active duty nuclear enlisted Sailor, you will receive an outstanding benefits package unlike any other. No previous experience is necessary to qualify for this position. The training for this position was developed by MIT and earns 77+ college credits accepted at all colleges and universities. Up to 95 college credits for those interested in mechanical engineering and chemistry training pathway. To qualify for employment consideration as a active duty nuclear enlisted Sailor in the Navy, you must be: *Individuals over the age of 27 are typically not eligible for this position. A waiver may be granted for highly qualified candidates up to age 29. Must be a US Citizen to qualify due to security clearance requirements. Must be high school graduate or have GED. Must have completed one year of high school algebra and have had good academic performance in high school. Cannot have been charged with a felony.
