SUMMARY

The Data integration Engineering Role is geared to develop and leverage APIs to connect and move data to various cloud - based front- end (web) and backend (EPR) and Data systems. This candidate will play a critical role in SL integration strategy by linking multiple customer -facing systems to Master Data Management (Semarchy), CRM (Salesforce), Marketing Automation platform (Acoustic) and our Data warehouse. Candidate will design, develop, implement, and integrate information systems and software applications to meet functional and technical requirements for internal staff members and ministry constituents.  He/She designs and codes API software applications, configures and tests applications, adheres to industry best practices, standardizes quality assurance procedures for software integration. Candidate oversees testing, develops fixes, maintain, support, and upgrades the existing application code.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The data integration Engineer/Developer supports and helps design and implement the integration architecture that will be used in interconnecting FamilyLife’s (FL) ecosystem.

• Work with other technical resources to build necessary connectivity and move data between systems in accordance with FL’s goals and objectives

• Provides technical support and collaborate with project team members and demonstrates expertise in a variety of the fields concepts, practices, procedures.

• He/she performs a variety of tasks where a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Analyze functional users’ needs and then design, develop, integrate, and test software and integrations to meet those needs.

• Become an expert on FL ecosystems and Data Management and Data Flows.

• Design each integration in accordance with functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.

• Ensured development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve system issues.

• Monitor and analyze effectiveness and efficiency of existing applications; develop strategies for improving, upgrading or leveraging these systems.

• Lead the development of system architectures that define the interaction between systems to include the use of platforms and tools and definition of standard shared between systems.

• Create a variety of models and diagrams (such as flowcharts) that instruct other developers/ programmers how integrations and data flows function.

• Document integrations, applications and system components as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.

• Evaluate proposals to identify potential problem areas and make appropriate recommendations.

• Collaborate with analysts, designers, contractors/ consultants, system owners, and other developers/ programmers during system/ software implementation.

• Research technologies for possible placement/ adoption into FL’s back-office system.

• Actively and intentionally, grow in his/ her Christian faith.

• Maintain a positive witness for Christ.

• Share what God is teaching him or her.

• Consistently attend and participate in team/ Ministry devotional times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

Four year computer related degree and five years equivalent work experience in software development and/ or design systems integration and management.
