With 25 years of increasing visibility and prominence, our boutique HR consulting firm, Seawright & Associates, currently has an opening for an HR Management Consultant. With a nationwide clientele, our distinguished firm offers HR consultation (via phone and email)  to business owners and managers across industry lines. Our clients rely on us to proactively solve complex HR issues and to provide trusted advice that helps minimize employment risks, maximize productivity, and maintain compliance with state and federal employment regulations (Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FFCRA, FMLA, etc.).  Over the years, we have developed a reputation for saving our clients time, money, and headaches by helping them solve HR issues early-on, before they become legal nightmares.

Remote work is not available for this position due to the collaborative nature of the work; HOWEVER, you’ll soon find out you want to be here every day!

We seek a talented HR professional who is interested in learning the consulting profession, working on a variety of HR projects, and being in a role where no two days are ever the same!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Researching employment regulations; creating, updating, editing, and proofreading a variety of intricate documents and forms including but not limited to employee handbooks, job descriptions, compensation programs, employment forms, and appraisal programs; corresponding with clients; and assisting with preparing/writing client advisories and marketing collateral.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in business or HR and a minimum of 10 years’ hands-on HR experience that must be in privately-owned, multi-state, small- and medium-sized businesses.

The professional we seek is organized, decisive, detail-oriented, assertive, credible, accurate and meticulous, and highly professional.

To be qualified, you must also have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency operating Microsoft Word
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • A desire to research and learn ever-changing local, state, and federal employment regulations
  • A sense of urgency and ability to simultaneously juggle multiple priorities, projects, and client needs
  • Deductive reasoning ability, critical thinking skills, and a desire to utilize a systematic, analytical problem-solving approach
  • A business acumen and strong understanding of business operations
  • A commitment to excellence and appreciation for quality work

We offer a peaceful and lovely work environment near Lake Lily, awesome clients, collaborative and congenial coworkers, your own private office, generous paid time off (including an additional week between Christmas and New Year’s), rewarding and challenging work, and other fun fringe benefits. (Please note as a small firm, we do not offer group health insurance.)

This is a unique opportunity to join a firm with a reputation for delivering first-class consultation to clients.
