Starting Salary:
- Heavy Equipment Technician I: $18.35 per hour (Grade L05)
- Heavy Equipment Technician II: $19.64 per hour (Grade L06)
NATURE OF WORK:
Performs skilled mechanical work and is responsible for diagnosing problems; determines appropriate maintenance work; repair and overhaul heavy alternative, gasoline, and diesel-powered equipment and hydraulic components with considerable supervision. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for accuracy and completeness.
