UCF Facilities & Safety is seeking well-qualified candidates to apply for the role of Accountant I. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- Manages the university's utility billing functions to include invoicing, accounts receivable (A/R), reconciliation of customers' accounts, customer problem resolution, and quality control. Generates invoices in excess of $39m annually and maintains accounts receivable, using the PeopleSoft billing and A/R module.
- Manages and monitors work order accounting functions to include weekly and monthly billing (AR) and postal accounting functions to include meter fund activity, accounts with USPS for postage due, business reply, and bulk mail permits. Resolve customer inquiries as they relate to postal charges.
- Process invoices to ensure that vendors are paid in a timely manner to include the university utility vendors on behalf of Facilities & Safety.
- Approves P-Card transactions for various Facilities and Safety departments.
- Prepares Salary Cost Transfer and Funding Distribution form as requested by each department under HCM.
- Perform other duties, as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Well organized and flexible; capable of making decisions in the best interest of the department and the University.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Professional, and Peoplesoft desired.
