CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics is looking to hire a Graduate Admissions Coordinator. The position will be involved in all activities related to academic admissions, registration, financial aid services, and orientation for current and potential University students. Recruits, evaluates, and participates in the selection of candidates for admission. Coordinates with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process. Advises applicants about educational planning.

The Graduate Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
 

  • The admissions process for MS and Ph.D. programs & the Lockheed Martin MS program
    - review applications, facilitate admissions reviews/selection with the committee, and make recommendations
    - primary contact for Lockheed Martin employees in the Lockheed Martin MS program
     
  • Academic Progress, Registration & Policy Advising
    - enrollment and degree progress, assist the Associate Dean with program accreditation
    - run enrollment and admission reports
    - assist with student qualifying and candidacy exams, formation of committees
     
  • Marketing & Recruitment
    - attend graduate events and conferences, prospective student visits and maintain student website & social media
    - create & update marketing materials and advertisements
     
  • Fellowships, Scholarships, University Awards, Students Accounts
    - Work with Associate Dean to develop new grad student enrollment projections to determine fellowships/scholarships/awards & tuition waiver needs
     
  • Curriculum and Scheduling
    - collect syllabi's and post them on the website
    - process catalog changes
     
  • Order textbooks

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Slate, Aurora, GradInfo, ViewStar
