Manages and implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor life safety systems and utilities and assist in the administration of the division in compliance with all corporate/franchise standards and local, state, and national codes and regulations to protect assets, guests and associates. Manages the day-to-day operations.  Recommend and implement procedural changes.  Monitor and control expenses.

Essential Functions:

  • Prioritize service requests; schedule and monitor the service performed to ensure customer satisfaction, safety and convenience.
  • Test and examine the life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times to protect the assets, guests, and associates.
  • Monitor utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems.
  • Implement and schedule property and equipment preventive maintenance programs in compliance with resort standards and local, state, and national codes and regulations to ensure safety, convenience and satisfaction of all guests, managers, and associates, to protect the assets and maintain the property in first class condition.
  • Assist the Director of Engineering in managing the Engineering team. This includes assisting with interviews, schedules, training, developing, coach and counseling, provide open communications, complete performance reviews, resolve problems and conduct discipline, as appropriate.
  • Assist in reviewing purchase requests and monitoring expenses and budget goals.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining schedules, logs, records, and other documentation to ensure a smooth operation and minimize liabilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years as a Supervising Engineer Manager or Assistant DOE experience required, preferably in hospitality. 
  • Minimum three years of kitchen maintenance preferred.
  • Minimum four years of HVAC maintenance required or degree from an accredited school.
  • Preferred certification as an EPA/Universal technician.
  • Required knowledge of building management, including management of people and complex situations and problems.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze activities or information and communicate clearly and effectively to staff and guests as needed.
  • Strong knowledge in electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and all other general maintenance needs.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
